Hopefully this may be useful information to users.
I am working on capturing and interpreting the "map urls" generated by google maps, bing maps and yahoo maps.
The google map urls can be extremely long. BE is configured to capture urls but limits their length to 128 bytes.
Simson kindly suggested a solution, which I have tested and works.
If you want to extend the length of the url capture, you will need to make a slight tweak to the source code.
Navigate to the src directory, open the file scan_email.flex.
Find a line that contains this string:
(https?)|afp|smb):\/\/[a-zA-Z0-9_%/\-+@:=&\?#~.;]{1,128}
It is line 259 in the current release. The integer 128 represents the max url length to print.
Simply change that value to the value you wish, save the change and recompile.
In my limited testing, setting the value to 284 has captured all of the complete Google map urls so far.
Just so there is no confusion; in its current configuration BE captures all the URLS, not just those shorter
than 128 bytes, it simply prints the first 128 bytes of the url, which is ample for most situations.
