I wanted to offer a sneak peek at my upcoming coloring book featuring the state of New Mexico. Here are 3 free coloring pages that will be included in my coloring book. If you want to donate some spare change for a cocoa (I don't drink coffee, haha!) that would be greatly appreciated.

I've been a fan of coloring books for a long time and sometimes host coloring parties (I've amassed quite a collection of coloring books). But sometimes, I want to doodle and draw, too, not just fill in the predetermined lines, and am unsure of myself on how to start. I created these collaborative coloring pages with the help of Midjourney AI because the prospect of experimenting with doodles over a palette of colors that you can trace and even imagine, as well as noodle with patterns, create scenes and landscapes, felt exciting and expansive to me!

These pages aren't particularly themed, and some of them are merely pretty splashes of color on a page. My goal with the bulk of these pages was to work with a composed and also flexible space that did not constrict me to a predetermined image or idea. I wanted to not only guess where the lines go in an already beautifully crafted and composed page. I wanted to stretch myself, and experiment with my databank of ever-growing visual knowledge, and give myself more confidence in drawing.

I want to talk just a tad about collaborating with Midjourney AI. There are lots of amazing conversations happening right now about the ethics of AI Art, and I recommend that we all seek them out, and continue to be part of this conversation. Heather Crank of Crahmanti design studio is one of my favorite people speaking about AI Art ethics right now. Heather is an accomplished and award winning artist, photographer, designer, and so much more, and is collaborating with AI in ways that reflect her own art and aesthetic. She shows us how Midjourney AI (and others) can be used as a tool in our work, just as many other tools that are available, such as the Canva app I have used to organize and design this collaborative coloring pages compilation.

To level the playing field, I'd also like to share the base terms I used which were: "smudged watercolor 2d painting abstract clear background fully decorated muted colors." Personally, I'd love to see all the ways that each of us can collaborate with this new tool. If you should ever want to share some of your experiments with me, please do not hesitate to find me on social media at @sireneatspoetry.

Intricate printable coloring page inspired by the passing days of Summer 2021. (From my Angie Grace retirement collection. Even though I have retired from publishing new books due to health reasons, I do miss drawing and seeing colorists enjoy new drawings. The retirement collection pages are available as a single printable pages only.)

Get all my coloring pages in one easy download! Feeling stressed? Want an easy way to kick start your creativity? I made these coloring sheets for you. You can print them or use them directly in Procreate (or any other digital program of your choice).

I know the times we're all living in right now is surreal and stressful to a lot of people. I'm just one of the many who have been laid off and I've been struggling to keep my mind from wandering into dark places. To stay sane, I've been keeping myself busy by creating these fun coloring pages for those who also need a creative outlet. Please feel free to download any of these coloring pages to color digitally or print out. I am accepting donations of any amount, but don't feel obligated if you are unable to contribute! I fully understand I'm not the only one in this boat and there are many others out there who are struggling more so than I am, whether it's financially or with their health. Let's all keep each other in our thoughts and send good vibes to those who need it most. Stay safe and stay sanitized!

Welcome my friends! This coloring page incorporates some of my favorite doodles into one image. Inspired by flowing forms and softly rustling leaves, this drawing will provide you with many hours of relaxing coloring.

Please consider returning to leave a review for this "sale" as it would really help me out to receive some feedback. Again, I hope you enjoy this little gift, and please feel free to check out my other free downloadable coloring pages.

Do you follow me on Instagram? Once you color your page, message me or tag me on your photos so I can share your lovely work! Find me @betsi_jae for updates on fun new coloring pages, coloring books, doodling ideas, and fun contests.

While my books are all available for sale on Amazon, some colorists want to have the option to color pages on their favorite paper. I have reformatted all my line art books for electronic download and made them available for purchase so you can have them in electronic format if that is what you prefer. They are all available with my other electronic downloads:

I had to test drive these pencils when I received them, so I colored this page from my book Coloring Gifts: Gifts of Friendship. I went a little crazy with the colors but I wanted to test as many pencils as I could. This page is done with colors from the original Black Widow set. I fell in love with the pencils and am now the happy owner of all three sets, I have photos of sample pages of all of them below, scroll to see them all.

Black Widow pencils are available in three sets of 24 pencils (the original Black Widows, a Scorpion set and a Cobra set), each set has different colors for a total of 72 colors as of today. They are available on Amazon

Cobra pencils

The book also includes instructions to help you add special touches to your coloring gifts. And for those who pray or meditate, there are scriptures to aid in prayer while you color for a friend, and also includes a heart meditation that can be done for a friend so you can reap the health benefits of coloring and friendship.

As an Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases. This means that if you click on one of the affiliate links and purchase something from Amazon, I will receive a small percentage at no extra cost to you. I use this to help offset some of the costs of running this site.

Congrats, you are almost there in this part four of my series; Coloring Book Publishing Selling. Your pages are nearly published. Here I will cover how to get your coloring pages into the hands of your fans (and just maybe earn a buck or two doing so). Being published feels great. Weather you publish just one page or a whole book, it is fantastic. For this part I will go over a few methods of publication and hopefully help you decide which way is best for you. It is hard to put a time-table on this step as there are many ways to do it.

These are the two I use. WooCommerce is a free no-fees plug-in you can use on your WordPress website, and GumRoad is a free platform for creators to sell what they create. Both have so many neat features to offer.

With Gumroad you can have an affiliate send buyers to you. Affiliates will earn whatever percentage you want them to if a buyer they send over ends up buying from you. You can sell digital downloads or physical objects that you will ship. People can pay what they want with Gumroad; you set the lowest price, and buyers can pay you more as a tip if they like. Or, you can charge $0 and they can still choose to pay more. I like this feature to give free samples of my work. I have not figured out a way to give free samples through my woocommerce store.

For a long time, Lulu was one of the only ways I knew to self-publish. Founded in 2002, it has been around for 15 years and still offers a great service. You can upload your coloring pages digitally, choose the paper quality, type of binding, and so on. You can sell on Lulu or apply a free ISBN number and sell through distributors. Authors earn 80% of sales from printed books and 90% of sales through ebooks. Authors also keep their copyright.

Founded in 2002, but not yet selling print on demand until 2009, CreateSpace has become the go-to for many coloring book authors. Like Lulu, you can apply a free ISBN number. Unlike Lulu, Amazon will not sell through distributors (including their own stores on their main site) unless you have purchased an ISBN number.

Just one more step and you can call it a day! For our next, and last, part I will cover the finishing touches to being a published coloring page author: coloring your own work and using your art in other ways. Come again!

I hope you are finding value in this ongoing series. If you are, please consider purchasing a coloring page from our store here, or our redbubble here, or our gumroad here. As well, you can get a monthly subscription support on our patreon here. Your support in any way means we can keep creating works and blogs to bring to you right here on Root Inspirations.
