Hiam making my first drone using Pixhawk 2.4.8 and I want to add a water pump which I will control from a switch of the transmitter. I was thinking of having a relay connected to an AUX output of the Pixhawk and also connected to the pump . Is this a good idea ?Should I also use a diode to prevent back EMF from the pump ?

Thanks a lot for your reply I am a completly beginner and I dont know a lot about electronics. I bought a this bldc motor: 12V DC Brushless Water Pump Ultra-quiet 240L/H - Submersible Water Pump (AD20P-1230C)

but it only has 2 wires how I will connect it with an esc?

Thanks again !!

I am doing this with an arduino relay board and a pixhawk 2.4.8 on a Rover to spray water on plants. I am just running 12v through the relay to a DC sailboat sink pump off of amazon (not AC brushless). Works ok but relays are opposite polarity (1 is off, 0 is on). Let me know if you want any more information but I am using Rover, not Copter.

To use a MOSFET, you need to have a common ground between the Pixhawk and the battery that powers your pump. You connect the MOSFET source (right side terminal) to that ground/negative, the gate (left terminal) to the Pixhawk AUX channel output, and the drain (mid terminal, or metal tab) to the negative of your pump. The positive of the pump goes to the 12V battery.

And if you are worried about damaging the Pixhawk due to connection mistakes, MOSFET failure or whatever, you can insert a resistor between the MOSFET gate and the Pixhawk output. The value is very uncritical, but I would suggest something in the neighborhood of 10 kiloohm.

First, ensure you are using the latest DJI firmwares on both your drone and remote controller if you are using one. You can update the firmware using DJI Fly/Go, or for older drone models download them from dji.com. Then, depending on your mobile platform, follow the steps below.

Yes, firmwre is up to date on the drone and I am able to fly on DJI Fly App as well as the Maven App. I have never had to go through steps for Litchi to connect to my drone before. I will review the User Manual and see if there is something I can do there to get Litchi and my drone synced again. I always close out the DJI Fly App and any other drone Apps before attempting to fly with Litchi. Thank you for the response and feedback. Historically, I have never had problems with the Litchi App until my last firmware update.

As a follow-up to my last post, I reconfirmed that I had the latest updates from DJI and went through the steps in the User Guide to connect to my iPad Mini which is the same device that I have always run DJI Fly, Litchi and Maven on. DJI and Maven set up fine and connected with my drone. Litchi did not. I confirmed also that I was signed into the Litchi App, which I was. As a last resort, with the controller active and the drone on, I shut down my iPad and restarted it. This did allow for a connection to the Litchi App. I was in my living room so I did not attempt a flight, but everything looked good and ready to go. Not sure why a restart of my iPad was necessary but it did allow for the connection. Hopefully this information may help another user if they are ever faced with the same dilemma in the future. At this point, I consider this issue closed. Thank you again for any feedback and suggestions that were made.

The FAA now requires most drones flown in US National Airspace to have Remote ID capability. This drone product does not comply with Standard Remote ID requirements and is therefore intended only for use Outside US National Airspace (ONAS). Such areas include FAA-Recognized Identification Areas (FRIA) and indoor spaces. It is your responsibility to ensure the use of this product complies with Remote ID requirements by flying ONAS locations or by installing a Remote ID Broadcast Module.

I bought this drone with tracer and avatar hd.

Coming from a 2,5"analog 1s drone to a 5" digital 6s powered drone is an experience.

This thing RIPS. Everything came in with updated firmware, if not for my goggles having outdated firmware I could have plugged and flown straight out of the box. The 3d printed pieces and vifly finder have saved my day multiple times and the whole build just feels strudy as hell. Full throttle against a tree, no problem: put new props on it, adjust camera angle and send it.

The build is tunable through betaflight, I gave the rates from PDEVX a chance but feels a bit too slow for my flightstyle so decided to change them recently.

TH4 thrower weighs only 320g. Through the DJI SkyPort V2.0 interface, it can be directly mounted on DJI Matrix M210, M300 RTK UAV. Via the thrower, it can carry 40kg and can be released by 4 times, which can be used for emergency rescue and material delivery.

The pill hook is a marvel of aerodynamic engineering. Its design incorporates carefully placed holes and a specific shape that work together to provide remarkable stability, even at Wing's impressive cruising speed of 70 mph.

Interestingly, the design draws inspiration from an unexpected source: military aircraft refueling probes. These devices maintain stability at speeds exceeding 500 mph, a principle Wing has adapted for its delivery drones.

During delivery, the drone lowers the package on a tether while maintaining a safe distance above ground. The pill's aerodynamics prevent swinging and ensure a smooth descent. Once the package is delivered, the pill smoothly retracts without snagging on the drone's components.
