Subject: AFA event 28 Aug 1600

AFA will be hosting a modified version of the prior new/departing commanders events 28 August, 1600-2000.

It will be a combo event recognizing both groups.  It will be back at Denise and my home.  

Event will be a family friendly luau, with live music and hula dancers.  The pool will be open (assumption is parents will supervise their children).  Dress is Hawaiian very casual.  

$10.00 per family, with all new Commanders and Departing Commanders hosted.  

Intent is to reach all Commanders, Shirts, Superintendents and their deputies/Ops O’s.  We might need protocol there to quality control the Mai Tais and Kalua Pig.  There will also be a strong civilian leadership presence so our personnel can meet their community leaders.  

We will work with you on an invite, but would like a save the date to go out.

  Those were always fun. Wish I could be there - BUUUTTTT, the travel is a bit too far. You’ll be happy to know I kept the STEM light lit this last weekend. 2 days of flight simulator support at the “Great Tennessee Airshow”. Wa hoo!! Met some vets who flew with folks from Eddy!!
