The results of the department general elections held on 16 March 2012 are

as follows:

1. Department General Secretary: Amit Mangtani
Total votes cast: 92
Valid votes: 91
Yes: 75
No: 7
No informed opinion: 9
Result: Elected

2. M.Tech II year CR: Prithviraj K
Total votes cast: 4

Valid votes: 4
Yes: 4
No: 0
No informed opinion: 0
Result: Elected

3. B.Tech II year CR:
Total votes cast: 49
Valid votes: 48
Hasanbada Sindhusree: 11
Vishal Kumar: 12
Sagar Agarwal: 17

N. Manoj Reddy: 7
None: 1
No informed opinion: 0
Result: No candidate got the required 50% votes. However, after
discussion, it has been decided to elect the candidate with the majority
votes. Hence, Sagar Agarwal (who has the majority votes with a decent

margin) is elected to the post of CR.
