About the talks:
1. Prof. Sohoni believes that the role of an Engineering college should be that of a regional solution provider. In the talk, he shall analyse the nature of Research and Development (R&D) as it is practised in IITs and it's effect on India's development. So, in case you are a strong supporter of "blue-sky" research, perhaps, it would be a good idea to attend this talk and gain another completely different perspective on the issue.
2. Prof. Sunoj is a proponent of UG Research. In the talk, he shall analyse the importance of research for a UG, taking examples of students he has known over the years. Attend this talk if you wish to know what the fuss is all about!
3. Prof. Gadre goes down the memory lane and recounts his days as a UG student in IIT Delhi to a Professor in IIT Bombay. So, why did he choose this path? What excites him about research? Have such questions? Shoot away!
