To: all,

Why not Aeromodelling Club starts screening one documentary a week.
Documentaries related to aerospace, aircrafts, space technologies etc.

At the end or during the middle, people can interact with each other and get their queries resolved.

This event can be open to all.

I am sure this will be good learning for all.
It will also generate good interest among the non-Aero people about Aerospace industry.

Kindly reply your views on this.

Thank you.

Agreed!
@managers : Can we have something like *enter weekday* evening screenings?
You can get access to the screening room in the new SAC or can conduct it in the hostel lounge.

@Atish,
The way we're doing this we need a room with a black/white board. Is there space in the screening room to hang a large whiteboard?
Thanks,
Karthik Mahesh,
Convener

We are in the midst of planning such a session. Since anyone can watch a documentary, we'll plan for more than just that.
Watch all our spaces for news :)

Yes, there is space to hang a whiteboard.
Go and check out the venue once. I think it should suffice

Hello everyone,
We're planning for a session this week, by Wednesday. Includes a documentary screening and a lecture on the first aviators.
Let us know which day of the week, and where we should conduct this, keeping in mind that all sorts of clashes.
Shout out to freshies, and Atish.

I suggest, now is right time to have a series of documentary screenings.
Say at one per week.
Kindly reply +1 for support and your suggestions as comments.

Thank you.

Hi everyone,
Our first attempt at something like this received a response that was... Lukewarm, to say the least.

If we are to proceed any further, we need to know more about what everyone else thinks.

Regards,
Karthik

Hello Karthik!

You should also create a poll on aeromodelling club's fb group. I think there are are two fb group with large number of people.

I support Pratik.
I have seen 11 seasons of Air Crash Investigations each with 12-15 episodes.
Its quiet a learning watching them.

You can screen few selected ones like:
Special report editions, MH370 crash, crash of the century etc.

You can have brief intro. (say 10 min.) of the documentary at the start.
Having discussion at the end will help more after people have viewed the documentary, then they will have doubts regarding whatever is not clear.
So I suggest you to kindly have 20 min. discussion after the screening to answer people's queries.

Thank you.

Chinmay
