Dear Members/Secretary/Directors,
Please go through this attachment with this mail and advise me whether this makes any sense. The letter supposed to be issued by AeSI Secretary mentions that recognition of AeSI Sec A & B ceases after 31st May 2013 but they will continue to hold exam for 8 years. Exam for what when
there will be no recognition unless you guys have taken responsibility to ensure that all Professional Degree should die unnatural death.
Conducting exam for course which will not be having recognition is sheer foolishness .I am not sure why even students will listen to this kind of misleading comment.
Let me clarify how this is going to impact current and past pass out students.Since after 31st May 2013,all major Companies would be issuing eligibility criteria: ONLY AICTE Approved University Engineering Degree holders need to apply. So where does that
put past /current pass out Professional Degree holders like AeSI/AMIE/IETE/IME etc? Do you think past pass out AeSI/AMIE/IETE were AICTE approved? Let’s not have false notion this issue has been determined by High Court in past and it was determined program never carried AICTE Approval.
For people who don’t understand how its impacting please see this advertisement below which is same Airport Authority of India which during 1990s used to hire AeSI/AMIE/IETE etc with other BE/BTech.Now in 2012/13 the advertisement shows Full time regular Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Technology from AICTE Approved University.
Can any one of you advise me how old pass out /current student would be eligible for this Government undertaking jobs in India?
I mean by virtue of this letter issued to students of The Aeronautical Society of India has acknowledged its failure to resolve the issue by dead line date of 31st May 2013.This warning was sent to AeSI and other Professional Societies from MHRD last year on June 10,2012.One year time frame is sufficient to resolve this issue. What the Professors , Academicians of IITs,IISc,MIT,BIT ,NITs etc and Board Members in Council and above all leadership doing on this issue which seems to be at the dead end.
Finally I would advise all of you to either contribute towards growth in Engineering profession or just don’t be in such places where you cannot do justification to your position and designation.Issue of misleading statements as attached with this email by AeSI Secretary is one of the foolish comment issued by AeSI Delhi official.
I am not sure why students would be appearing in Associate Membership Exam and pursuing the program after the course recognition ceases after 31st May 2013 unless some one is really dope and doesn’t understand meaning of Accreditation and
recognition.
As I have advised before being National Assessor for Professional Engineering Degree programs in USA and North America, once these program loses recognition in country of Award, they will cease to have any recognition overseas whether for current or past pass out. There should be no if and but attached with same. You have just 90 days countdown to resolve this issue and based on statement issued by AeSI Delhi,it seems they have accepted their inability to resolve the issue. If I am not mistaken this AeSI Delhi Secretary in last few months were seeking help of Alumni signature campaign for resolving this issue.
Gentleman signature of Alumni for what? MHRD is asking for Course frame work development and seek fresh recognition from AICTE,it was very simple and straight forward English Memo issued by MHRD which was clearly understandable but unfortunately this was very hard for people running these Institutions to understand.
Hope all of you will use common sense to resolve this issue.Unfortunately I cannot provide common sense from my side to resolve this fiasco.I am forseeing collapse of Engineering system in India with more than lakhs of Professional Degree holders from AMIE/AeSI/IETE are going to be hit hard due to incompetency of few council members and leadership.I would advise all members
who are Professional Degree holders to ensure that irresponsible people don’t occupy leadership of these Professional Institution.Good Example is The Aeronautical Society of India,New Delhi whose last President Vijay Mallaya had more time for Pin up model Girls and lesser time for Professional Degree holders issues .I believe he had more time for Formula racing and hardly any concern about AeSI Engineers.Current AeSI President GM Rao has been involved in leading corruption deal in Maldives Airport program and after it was detected by Maldives Government ,it was cancelled. Now these guys as President are role models for the Young Engineers in India.I am not sure with this kind of role model Leaders, there is going to be any future of Engineers in India.
Coming
down to IE India few months back it was noted for honoring Political leaders Nitish Kumar for Engineering contribution towards IEI.This is the biggest joke of the century.I am sure Mr.Nitish Kumar can help in resolving the recognition issue of AMIE Degree if he was such capable.
All of you requested not to make joke of Engineering profession in India. The events above demonstrate that Engineering profession in India has been taken for ride for few incompetent leaders, the entire community is suffering and lakhs of Engineers career and livelihood is at stake.
Good luck and all the best.
