Activities of the branch

Dear Members,

Usually I do not send my photographs for showing the activities of the Chairman, but I have to clear the doubts of some senior members. Apart from these programmes in these photos and the following mail, REC has conduted seminars in Experimental Aerodynamics and  CFD. one of them was inaugurated by the Vice-president Prof.Job Kurian. In Sathyabama University Prof.Augustine has conducted a seminar on Modern Technology on Design and Maintenance of Helicopters. In Hindustan University one day seminar on Advances in composites was conducted in which Dr.Alen Chambers, Southamton University has participated.(Photo enclosed in the following mail) Another seminar was arranged in the Hindustan University, in which Prof.Andy Mcintosh, LEEDS, U.K. delivered a lecture. I have also inaugurated student chapters of KCG College of Technology, St.Peter's University, Dhanalakshmi Srinivasan College of Engineering. To my surprise I have not seen any of these senior members in any of the above meetings, except some staff members from Engineering Colleges.  We have also planned for a two day National Seminar on March21&22, 2013. But unfortunately it has to be postponed to Sept' 19&20, 2013, due Srilankan Tamil issue strike. More details will be given in the AGM.
