There is no concession to students as we almost run these courses on
almost cost to cost basis. Our primary aim is to impart knowledge to
the younger minds. The cost of Pilot,fuel airpalne maintenance have
sky-rocketed. You cam imagine a year back the licence fee for aour
airstrip was just rs 60/- now it has gone upto 60,000/-..The pilot
charge was Rs 500 per hour and now it has gone upto almost 5000/per
hour. Earlier Pilot was stationed in lucknow and we get pilot who is
stationed in Bangalore and thus travel cost has also gone up. The cost
is just to meet bare expenses. To make this course run none of our
faculty member charges any honararium. We can not touch the cost
aspect.
As far as course is concerned,we have augmented it from this year. We have
seen almost all students coming from PVt colleges do not have adequate
exposure in the field
of flight mechanics. Therefore the course will have
8 hrs session on topics related to introduction to airplanr performance
and stabilty and control.
They will carry out following experiments
1. Weighment of aircarft
2.estimation of cruise and climb performance,estimation of dragpolar of
aircraft.
3.Estimation of lateral-directional parameter
4.demonstration of various modes of airplane excitation.
5.Flight familiarization using Motor Glider/winch glider
In addition we send these boys for a visit to our National wind tunnel
facility and few Guest lectures,if time permits.
