Shortest Path Issue

Good Evening, 

My name is Rana, and I recently Joined this groub 

this my first time to use Aequilibrae(I am using latest update version of the plugin with QGIS 3.40.2). 

I have some Issues and would really appreciate your guidance to help me;

1- When I try to create new project from Layer this error keeps appearing although I deleted all last files and projects and changed its name .

2-when I add Centroid Connectors , There is no added layer for the connectors 

3- After I the trip distribution step, when I go to the shortest path step this error keep appearing, I dont get the reason and I already checked the a_node,b_node columns in the links layer, also I tried to run the assignment from YAML. file but the same error appeared.

Hi Hana,

Welcome to AequilibraE.

A few notes:

1. The error is pretty explicit there. Are you sure the folder does not exist when you press the "RUN" in that process?

2. AequilibraE keeps centroids in the nodes layer and connectors in the links layer, so no new layers will ever show up

3. This should never happen.  Are you sure your project was properly built and has all the required columns (a_node, b_node, etc)?

Rana,

          This mailing is not really designed for asking questions in a rapid succession or in a "live support" way.  I recommend you do a few things:

1. Carefully read the documentation of the software 

2. Look into previous message exchanges on people doing the same tasks as you

3. Inspect your data (inputs, but especially outputs)

4. Read log files and error messages carefully (the folder existence issue was a clear example on how that's helpful)

5. Attempt to proceed using Python, which is much more flexible and allows for faster trial-and-error testing

I just dedicate the folder path for the project ex: C\Project20 , and when I press run it creates a folder inside this path which contains matrices folder also but it stops at 80%. 

I thought once the folders have been created , I can proceed with the rest of the steps even if the run stops at 80%.  

What do you advise me to do?

1. Read what you wrote: "I create a new folder everytime and press run."  You are creating the folder that the software is detecting when it starts running.

2 & 3.  How did you get here if you could not create the project?

1- I am sure there are no folders with the same name, I create a new folder everytime and press run.

2- But when I check the link and nodes layers , I dont find any additions. I use the "from center of zones" option and also I tried to use the other options , is there any specifications for them? 

3- I am sure these columns (a_node, b_node..) are existing in the link layer.
