Blocking my pictures on friends page of other blogs

At times I will post pictures in the entries, and I host them on my
own site space. Friends pages on other blogs that have my blog in it
load these in as well.

What I would like is an option to turn the showing of pictures from my
blog off when they are loaded in from a different URL than my own
blog, to save my bandwidth.

The friends page will be re-worked for the new version as will the archive to give more of a friendly feel etc. Infact the friends page may just be a list of friends or may be done away with all together. I have yet to decide which I think would be best.

On LJ (whenever I read a community there) one complaint is always:
don't make your posts so long, put them behind a cut. The other one
is: you are ruining my template with your big images! And then that
cut thing again.

I'd do it in altogether and opt for the links. It's also less work ;)

Also.. just in case you want to keep the subscription thing for
friends the way it is..

When I look in my profile it tells me how many friends have listed me.
However, I cannot see who those friends are from there.

If that is privacy related, all ok with that, but I'd say: make it a
link, resulting in the blogs of those people. I wager if folks find my
blog interesting they might find the friends blogs as well.
