A GUI for Aeneas + Issues with packaged Mac Core

Hello everyone, happy 2018!

Together with a couple of programmers,
I'm working on a GUI for local installs of Aeneas.

You can find the source code and files here.

The AppImage binaries for Linux
(core+gui, chmod 777 to run),
and the .Exe file for Windows
are already done,
and to the best of our knowledge they work fine.

They can be downloaded for a week at this WeTransfer link.

But we're having some problems with the core for Mac,
and also some have found that the current Aeneas' core Mac binary
crashes with newer versions of Mac Os X.

I'd really, really appreciate if some of you
could get in touch with me and the other developers,
so we can try and fix these issues asap.

you can download a packaged version for the Core and the GUI of Aeneas for Mac Os X.

If you're interested, you have to download and install both, than you should run the GUI and at first launch go to "Settings" and point the GUI to the core.

Hope you'll like it. So far it's been tested on High Sierra,
and if you could provide a feedback from other versions of Mac Os X,
I would particularly appreciate that.

the RaRGenie expander fails to expand the gui .7z file on my mac. Not sure how to make this work?

should be able to open .7z files.
An ordinary zip file is on the pipe,.
and if it proves stable the public release will come in a .dmg format.

Crisman, there's a .dmg file now, in the same folder,
that installs both core and gui, and should have no problem at all.

I was able to run the GUI! I'll put some test files through it later today and see if it produces proper output. This is pretty exciting...thanks for your work!

Sorry took me a few days to get to this. I created a text file Ace.txt, an audio file called Ace.mp3 and then named the output file AeneasAce. Output screens are as follows:

Indicating that a file called AeneasAce.srt has been created. When I go to the directory, though, I don't see any such file. Search of entire drive does not turn up this file. Perplexed...

the "AM" I see on the right of the time fields is a bug and it should be fixed.
I'll tell the developer.

Aside of that, however, the start and stop sync setup appears to be both at 12:00:00.000.

You're basically asking aeneas to start syncing twelve hours
after the video start, and stop immediately after :))

So I suggest you to:
- click on "Cancel Task" to reset the program;
- restart Aeneas' GUI;
- re-input the data with a correct timing.

Let me know how it goes!

Ok, sounds like there's definitely a problem.

Would you be opposed to be introduced to the developer,
so you can discuss together and troubleshoot without middlemen like me?
