Ladies and Gentlemen of Equipment:

As you may or may not have heard, I was unable to attend this years extravaganza due to illness.

One of my tasks this year was seeking information for my head coach. We are in the market for a new run of helmets and want to make the most educated decision for the team regarding safety and recruiting.

What is the most popularly worn helmet on your football team?

What is the most widely requested helmet on your team?

Same for shoulder pads.

What are your thoughts and opinions on the Speed Flex vs. the Speed helmet.

Any information you can provide would be fantastic!

Thanks all and enjoy your summer!

Hey Mike, hope you're feeling better. To answer your questions, our most popular and most requested helmet is the Speed, although we use the Speed Classic so we don't have to deal with that liner. As for shoulder pads, it varies by position. Most of our skill players are in Riddell PM19DB flat pads, and they seem to like them. This past year, we got Z-Cool pads for our offensive and defensive linemen, and they were a huge hit. The rest of the team are in various different makes and models.

I can't offer an opinion on the Speed vs. Speed Flex debate, as we currently don't have any Speed Flexes. Hope this helps!-Jim
