I hope this finds you well and enjoying the start of Spring.  I am in need of some direction and wanted to pose a question to the group regarding your student manager programs.  At this time, (Miami University) our student managers work between 22-30 hours per week and are paid hourly.  With recent budget cuts and government regulations under the Affordable Care Act we have been asked to cut our student workforce and also reduce the total number of hours including travel time (time on a bus/plane/van) to 22 total hours a week.

Because of the cuts and regulations we are looking into and discussing the possibility of creating a student support staff scholarship program.  If any of you are currently running a scholarship program I would love to discuss the particulars with you and best practices.

I understand and get your time is valuable, and I would like to thank you in advance for any information you are willing to share.

Darrell
