Adobe Client Data Layer - Rename the DataLayer Array

Hello 

i was wondering if there is a way to rename the datalayer array to a custom variable name? 
i mean instead call it digitalData, is there a way to configure this within the library? 

P.S: I was playing around (not to push to prod) on using this outside of AEM within an application, however the dataLayer variable is already used by google analytics

window.dataLayer = window.dataLayer || [];

An issue [0] had already been created to support renaming the data layer variable.

Is the name configurable? It just looks like it's been changed to adobeDataLayer instead of dataLayer, which is okay, but not really the same as being able to rename the data layer.

In a first step, we renamed the data layer object adobeDataLayer.
We still plan to support dynamically renaming the data layer object. This is tracked at:
