Pacific Conference on Earthquake Engineering 2027

Hi all,

The Kiwi's are hosting the next Pacific Conference on Earthquake Engineering (PCEE) in Christchurch from 16-18 February 2027. For those that aren't familiar with PCEE, it is held every four years, and AEES last hosted PCEE in Sydney in 2015. The history of PCEE includes (but don't hold it against me if I've made some mistakes here!): Vancouver in 2023; Auckland in 2019; Sydney in 2015; Auckland in 2011; Singapore in 2007; Christchurch in 2003; ??? in 1999; and Melbourne in 1995. Maybe AEES needs to have a crack for hosting in 2031!

• Deadline for abstract submission: 31 August 2026
• Notification of abstract acceptance: 14 September 2026
• Full paper (Extended abstract) submission close: 2 November 2026
• Notification of full paper acceptance: 4 December 2026
• Early bird registration: Before 15 January 2027

I think you’ll find there was no PCEE in 1999, because NZSEE was too busy preparing to host the WCEE in 2000.
