I primarily use clippings as part of a support job which uses zendesk. Suddenly today, all of my linebreaks are coming out as @ symbols, rather than line breaks. I teste on another site that had a text field where I could enter, and my linebreaks came through fine.
Because it works properly elsewhere, I'm assuming this is a problem with a change that zendesk made, but is there anything that can be tweaked within clippings to get my linebreaks back, just from knowing that they're being changed into @ signs?

I will need to investigate this issue further. In the meantime, the only workaround that I know of is to find any occurrences of the @ symbol that may appear and replace them with a line break.

Another workaround is to open Clippings Manager, select all the text in the clipping you want to paste into Zendesk (or other web app using CKEditor), and then paste into the editor using CTRL+V, Command+V, or by right-clicking and selecting Paste from the context menu.
The limitation is that if your clipping contains any HTML tags, the clipping will be pasted with the HTML tags intact -- the HTML formatting won't be applied.

Does the Zendesk composer have an option available to switch to HTML source view, where you can type in or paste raw HTML to format text and specify line breaks? I don't have access to Zendesk, so I'm unable to verify.

it appears to be just a rich text editor, similar to the one here on the google group. The only formatting I'm sending from clippings to zendesk is content formatted with paragraphs, no links created with html or anything like that.

This is an issue with the HTML editor, called CKEditor, that is used by Zendesk, and which Zendesk had recently migrated to. I've raised this issue with the maintainers of CKEditor.
