[Youth Art Month]

 Hello everyone!

   I know we are still a few weeks away from our YAM Kickoff event, but I wanted to share a few details as I have had some questions! 

I have been told that security will be utilized for entry for the kickoff event this year. But there are new scanners (same ones the NFL uses- so much faster than previous years.) But the state house will open the lower west entrance for students and guests at 1:30pm. Please share this information with your students/families to be prepared for our event start time of 3pm!

For setup/hanging of your artwork between 10-12 the morning of 3/1:

**Teachers & Judges will be allowed to enter the Statehouse at the north doors (the entrance with the parking lot.)  You can park on the lot so long as there are spaces available. You will enter it at the guard house, south from Ohio Street.  Between Senate & Capitol Avenues. You may have to push the button on the silver speaker box, just prior to the guard house.

When returning for the kickoff event- parking will not be allowed in the lot- so you will either have to find a lot to pay/park in or find street parking- which is luckily free on Sundays yay!
