INDIANA STATE UNIVERSITY
ART SCHOLARSHIP COMPETITION
This annual competition will give scholarships in both studio and cognitive areas

The Department of Art at Indiana State University is pleased to announce the Creative and Performing Arts Awards competition.  All work must be received at the Art Office no later than Monday, March 4, 2013.  Each undergraduate scholarship provides an annual amount ranging from approximately $2,000 to $6,000 that is renewable for four years.  Particularly talented art students may also be eligible for advanced placement within our program.  To receive an award, the student must first apply and be admitted to Indiana State University by March 1, 2013, prior to the awards competition.  Applications for admission can be found on the Indiana State University Home Page: htpp://www.indstate.edu.  Application Form and details for Art Scholarship Competition can be found on the Department of Art Website:
http://www.indstate.edu/art-dept/scholarships.htm

Details on eligibility and how to apply accompany this letter along with entry forms and rules for the competition.  Students should pay particular attention to the directions for digital portfolio presentation, and should consult with their art teacher in preparing their materials. Papers may also be submitted by students interested in pursuing a degree in Art History or Art Education.  See the accompanying guidelines for the paper presentation.  Please read and share these materials with all interested teachers and students.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call or write.  The Art Office is open weekdays from 8:00 am until 4:30 pm.  Tours are available by appointment.  Please contact Ms. Joy Cook at 812/237-3697 or art...@indstate.edu

The ISU Art faculty looks forward to reviewing the recent works of our future students.  Good luck and best wishes for continued success in your future endeavors.

Dr. Lloyd W. Benjamin III
President Emeritus and Trustee Distinguished Professor
Interim Chair, Department of Art
