Globalization in my eye
As far as I understand, globalization is a historical process, experiencing a long time .It is now already a reality, not a choice. In other words, whether its advantages or disadvantages we the people all around the world have to live with it. We can’t avoid it.
Each coin has two sides. But in my view, the benefits we get from it are much more than the disadvantages. Just think how different we live now comparing with the older generations. Great progress in communication and transport during the 20th century has enabled us to overcome geographical boundaries and improve convenience to our life. Re can experience so many kinds of foreign cultures, read the world-famous works and enjoy the most popular ideas, movies and fashion clothes.
For China, the opportunities or challenges which brought by globalization could be touched in every field of the society. Our nation, in a whole, the economy, politics and culture are developing in a fully and rapid way.
Of course, some negative effects do lie in the globalization. Someone hold aggressive attitude about it. More than a fifth of all the people in the world now speak English to some degree. The world would be in a post-colonization which is in charge of the western country. The undeveloped country would lose their tradition and culture. They think all things in the world would become uniform which is called “cultural assault”.
But most believe that globalization stands for a optimistic and developing journey. Only if overcoming the hardships and harmful ingredients can we embrace a bright, peaceful and developed world.
