Aero Sports Fest 2014

Hey everyone,

        AEA is organizing an Intra-Department Sports Fest on September 27 & 28 2014 in Sangam Grounds. We will be having six events. Depending on the participation, one or two events might get taken away from the sports fest. 

1) Cricket 

2) Football

3) Frisbee

4) Kho-Kho 
5) Tug of War

6) Lagori.

Please register in the Google form if you would like to participate in any of them. Timings of the events/fixtures will be intimated later. Please fill up the Google form before 24th Sept (Wednesday) 8 00 PM. 

A few rules before you fill the form:

1) There is individual as well as team registration for all the events. 

2) Team members can be from any batch/year. All teams should have team names. Maximum size of a team is 7. 

3) Teams should pick a captain. Only the team captain is required to fill the form. The captain should state the team name and all the members along with their Roll No. and email id. in the space provided. 

4) You can choose to participate in more than one sport, either individually or in a team.

5) People registering individually for the events will be grouped/added into teams by us. Our decision in this regard will be final. 

6) A person can be a part of at most one team for a given sport. If found, he/she will be taken away from any one of the teams, of our choice.

Dear all,

             Just reminding you again. Aero Sports Fest will be happening in Sangam grounds (Near Taramani Gate) from 3 00 PM to 10 PM  on 27th & 28th September (Sat & Sun). PFA - the schedule of events for Saturday. Do find out your team number and match timings. 

A few general points.

1. All team leaders(and players) please ensure that your team is present at the venue 30 minutes prior to start of your match. 

2. For footer, if a team fails to show up within half an hour of their scheduled match time, the other team will automatically get a walkover. This will be strictly followed as we have severe time constraints.

3. For students who have not yet registered but would like to participate in a game, please contact the organizers on the spot.

Game Rules :

2. Footer : 4 teams with highest goal difference margin will be selected from the 12 teams in total and proceed into semi final.

3. Additional rules for the games will be provided at the venue.

PLEASE NOTE:

1. Decision of the organizing team will be final and binding in all cases.

2. Please take care of your belongings.

3. Safety First : Please ensure your own and others safety while playing.

          Thank you all for coming and participating in the events. Hope all of you had a great time today. Special thanks to those who helped us in refereeing and in other logistics. I am attaching the schedule and team list for tomorrow. Please come on time. All the general info mentioned in the previous mail still apply for tomorrow's games as well.

Firstly, one important announcement. If anyone has found a Casio Edifice watch in Sangam on Saturday night, please let me know. One of the second years has lost his watch. 

                Thank you all. We, the organizers had an awesome weekend. Hope you guys also enjoyed the Sports Fest. Special thanks, once again for all of them who helped us in the logistics. 

Results of today's games:

Football: Winners - Supersonics RS (MS students)

              Runners-up - Aerodynamites (4th years)

Top Scorer: Manu Prasad (6 goals in 3 matches) - Supersonics RS

Frisbee: We had friendly matches with HSN sir, Ranjith Sir, Manikandan Sir, Shantanu Mulay Sir and Sameen Sir. 

Cricket: Winners - 3rd years

              Runners-up - 5th years + Prithish + Warner + Vaishakh
