Hey all,

          Check out the changes which are going to be made in our curriculum. For example,
  • Make the minor stream optional.
  • No pass/fail courses.
  • No self-study courses.
  • ‘Industrial training’ is not mandatory, and will not receive academic credit.
  • ID1100 eliminated.
Just to let you know about the magnitude of changes that is going to come. So, go through the attached document carefully and suggest your opinions to the respective class reps. Class reps are expected to attend the meeting on 25th.

we are required to give our responses by 27th without delay.  so shall we meet on 25th afternoon at 2.30pm to discuss this.  please go through the report earlier – we’ll directly take up the terms of reference and major changes on page 1 and final reco’s on p.20 for discussion, and refer to the other pages only if necessary.

Dear colleagues

As you are aware, the Chairman, Senate constituted a Curriculum Task force in September 2014, to examine the B.Tech/Dual Degree curriculum and
suggest reforms to be in line with the strategic plan 2020, as well as to take into account the feed-back from the Institute review committee.

The task force has since submitted the report to our Director. I am forwarding the report of the task force with the following request from the Director

i) Circulate the report to all your colleagues
ii) Arrange to get this report discussed in faculty-cum-DCC meeting (with student's representatives present for the meeting) by next week
iii) Send your Department's feedback on this report by 27th Feb (next Friday)
iv) the feedback of the departments will be considered by the task force between 28th and 3rd March and present the modified version to the Senate on 4th Feb

I request you to please assign priority for this task
