I'd like to import/export data from/to my own MySQL table where I can run my own optimization scripts separately. It seems like JSON is the best method to achieve this.

Would members of the community agree, and if so, are there any best practice recommendations?

Or if not, any alternative methods to achieve my desired objectives?

Thanks in advance!

Any suggestions on best method(s) to import/export data would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

That's kind of what JSON is good for--is there a reason you're looking for alternatives?
I'm passing JSON back and forth with webservices on my server all the time, and it's awesome.
