Feature request: Remove Negative Keyword List

Hi,

Although it is possible to delete keywords within a negative keyword list and unlink the list form campaigns, it is not possible to delete the negative keyword list itself.

Since we have quite a few scripts that dynamically create negative lists, over time some lists become empty and thus obsolete. We would like to be able to remove negative keyword lists through Google Ads Scripts, especially due to the limit of 20 lists per account.

Would it be possible to address this feature request to your technical team? Thanks in advance.

Since you've mentioned that over time your lists become empty, can I interest you in reusing them as an alternative to removing them? It is possible to update the name of your NegativeKeywordList by using the setName(name) method.

Once again, thanks for your swift reply! No not really. I know negative keyword lists have to be unlinked from all campaigns before your can remove them entirely through the UI, so I expect the same rules will apply to Google Ads Scripts. Of course this is not a problem at all.

Thanks for thinking along. Reusing the lists is a clever idea indeed, so we'll see if we can use that in the meantime. However, it's likely not all empty lists are reused, which will still leave empty lists in the account. This in it's turn has some implications for our syncs with Microsoft Ads, which can only import a maximum of 20 lists in total accross the account and it's parent MCC's. Therefore we would like to remove all empty lists, to keep our syncs with Microsoft as clean and efficient as possible.
