How to Get Campaign Level Target CPAs (NOT Portfolio Strategy)?

HI guys,

a simple question - how do I get campaign level target CPA via scripts? 

I am not using portfolio bid strategies. 

I am using target CPAs set on campaign level. Unique for every campaign.

Something tells me it's not possible.

Hello DZ,

Thanks for raising this to us.

With regard to your concern on getting Campaign's bidding strategies, you can simply use the Campaign's bidding() method. This will return the CampaignBidding which provides access to a campaign's bidding fields. From there, you can utilize the getStrategyType() method.

Hi Mark,

I think this is still useless though, look:

And I'm getting results like:

en-au_sch_brn_brd_adw_dtp: TARGET_CPA

...but I still don't know what my TARGET_CPA value is...

Thanks for coming back. Harry here and I work along Mark. Allow me to assist you this time.

You may retrieve BiddingStrategies at the Campaign level and get its strategy type among other supported methods, but retrieving the target bidding value (Eg. Target CPA value) is not supported currently in the Google Ads Scripts. Please see CampaignBidding for your reference. In addition, you can retrieve and set such values at the AdGroup level (Target CPA, Max CPC, CPM bid). See AdGroupBidding.

On the other hand, if retrieving the target CPA value at the Campaign level is really necessary to your requirement/business, I can reach out to the rest of the team and file a feature request on your behalf upon your confirmation. However, as you would already know, all requests are subject for consideration and are not guaranteed to be supported any time soon in the Google Ads Scripts. Kindly provide also a sample use case to the feature.

Well... it's important for our business but I cannot really wait for months so I will just have to move my CPAs to ad group level. Those are retrievable.

It's very simple/

Some people don't use target CPA bidding on adgr level but they rather prefer campaign level target CPAs.
