Hi Michael,

Would you be so kind as to provide more information to this, such as the following, so we may be able to further investigate your concern?:

  • Google Ads account ID or CID
  • Name of the script
  • Complete and uncropped screenshot showing the issue
  • Shareable link of the spreadsheet the script is using (You may follow this guide under Share a file publicly)

You may send these via the Reply to author option. Note that you may need to join the Google Group for you to use this option. If this option is not available on your end still, you may send it through our email (googleadsscr...@google.com) instead.

Best regards,

Hi Michael,

Thanks for providing the information I've requested.

First, please do note that it is normal behavior for the link checker script to experience timeouts. Even if the execution would hit the execution limit, it will continue the next time it runs. So, you may notice that the script would log messages like 'Resuming work from a previous execution' or 'Stopped checking URLs early because of x'. You may also try increasing the timeout_buffer variable to a value of 1000.

On that note, you may also refer to this section touching up on the Quotas for Google services from our documentation on Limits where it states to get around the "Exceeded maximum execution time" error, you can reschedule your script under multiple user accounts to extend the script's quota.
