Link Checker

Hi!
I installed a link checking script in my account according to the instructions - https://developers.google.com/google-ads/scripts/docs/solutions/link-checker .
The system Google Ads shows that the script is working correctly.
In test mode, I added a url with a 404 error to one ad. It's been a week now that the script can't find it.
Why doesn't the script report an error?
I will be grateful for your help!

As our team’s workflow prevents us from running a Script on the client’s account, would you be able to manually create the Label LinkChecker_Aweb? As I have tested your Script, I have encountered this error message:

 

Label LinkChecker_Aweb is missing and cannot be created in preview mode. Please run the script or create the label manually.

 

Additionally, would you be able to confirm where you have added the 404 error? Is it in a paused ad?

Yes, of course. I have created a Label LinkChecker_Aweb.

The ad in which I added the 404 error can be seen in the screenshot.

Hi Riumin,

 

Thank you for getting back to us and for creating the Label.

 

Upon previewing the Script, it appears to retrieve the 404 error in the Results sheet (New Scripts experience version and in Legacy version). Kindly refer to the screenshot I have attached. No changes were made in testing the script on our end.

 

Would you be able to try re-executing the script and share with us the Logs and the result of the spreadsheet?

I took a closer look at your script, then I observed that you implemented our link checker solution script(Legacy) and executed it using the new script experience version.

Take note that running our link checker solution script which is built for the legacy version in the new script experience environment is expected to encounter any errors or unusual behaviors because it is not compatible with the new script experience version. Instead, can you please use this latest link checker solution script which is built for the new script experience environment and let me know if you will still encounter the same issue?

I have checked the 747-327-9699 account and have found out that the script on your attached file is not being implemented on any scripts of your account. Kindly confirm if you have deleted/removed the Script? If not, kindly provide us the Script name on where you have implemented the Average Position Bidding Tool.

 

In addition, it appears that the Average Position Bidding Tool script is a third party script maintained by brainlabsdigital.com. I have also noticed that the script is still utilizing fields in AdWords API format and AWQL query which are no longer working in the new script experience. Kindly take note that the Google Ads script new experience is now migrated to Google Ads API resources and there are fields, methods and functionality that has been removed or changed which could be the main reason why the said script is not working properly on your end.

 

I highly recommend that you raise any issue you encounter with this script to the brainlabs support team as they are more knowledgeable on the implementation and logic of their own script. Take note that third party scripts are already outside of our expertise. Moreover, you may also provide our migration document to them in order for them to make adjustments to their script to work properly in the new script experience environment.
