Hi all,

I am trying to implement a MCC script on our account structure, that contains multiple levels of nested MCC accounts.

Level 0 (root)
Level 1
Level 2
Level 3 - Actual accounts

Is there a way to apply a MCC level script to the level 2 MCC, rather than to the level 0 ?

I don't want my accountIterator to have any potential access to the above levels of accounts. Is this possible?

Thank you very much for your kind support,

Best !

Hi Jacopo,

You can add a filter to restrict your script to accounts under a particular root MCC. See https://developers.google.com/adwords/scripts/docs/examples/mcc-scripts#Get accounts under a child account for an example.

I'm having a similar problem. We're a "Client manager" for a particular child MCC (the client's MCC) and want to add a script to their MCC. But clicking "Bulk operations" from the child MCC just bounces back to our root MCC level. Are Client managers not allowed to add scripts to child MCCs?

I'm seeing the same thing.  That's interesting. You can add a script to an child account, but not to a child-MCC.

You can specify which sub-MCC to get child accounts from as per Anash's post if you just want it to run on a particular sub-MCC only.

I supposed a use case would be you don't want to have several hundred scripts cluttering up your own MCC level, since there's currently
no filter or search capability to find and modify/disable (or change the schedule) for scripts.

Feature Request Please: Search/Filter ability on Bulk Operations -> Scripts management screen

It's possible to edit/create scripts on a specific sub-mcc. Though it seems as you can't reach it from the UI so it's a bit of a hassle.

But by manually changing the URL and specifically the "__c" parameter you can access it.

If you visit the standard overview for the sub-mcc you'll have an url like:

33333333 is in this case the "id" you need to access the scripts. So if you copy that and replace 33333333 in the url below:

You should see the script-overview for that specific sub-mcc.

Unfortunately that redirected back to the root MCC, same behavior as before.

Hi,

We are currently aware of this behavior in AdWords Scripts.  We will let you know if there are any updates to the functionality.

Thanks,
