Price extension remove price function

Hi all,

I have a script which adds price extension at campaign level, but the problem is everytime the script runs new price extension keeps added for the campaign. Is there any possible function to remove just the prices and add the amount, as I saw that remove function removes the price items itself and not just the prices, as removing the price item will also mean loosing the data for them to use it for optimizing.
