Setting Device Modifiers not working in New Scripts Experience

Hi,

I'm trying to set device bid modifier for ad groups with the code:  

adGroup.devices().setDesktopBidModifier(0.75);

I keep getting the same error:

SystemError: Could not read from Google Ads (Internal details: Could not get resource name for customers/{customer_id}/adGroups/{ad_group_id} parent) at g (adsapp_compiled:294:50) at adsapp_compiled:1250:13 at Cd.K (adsapp_compiled:1225:16) at SK.K (adsapp_compiled:19097:11) at SK.mutate (adsapp_compiled:19064:55) at TK.mutate (adsapp_compiled:19162:20) at $K.enqueue (adsapp_compiled:19274:16) at $K.mutate (adsapp_compiled:19261:17) at adsapp_compiled:8545:58 at Ql.Y (adsapp_compiled:2736:30)

However, when I turn off the new scripts experience, it works.

I suspect it's another bug but who knows.

Can you help me, please?

Hi Google Support,

We are also having this same issue above where:

adGroup.devices().setMobileBidModifier(0.75);

Is throwing the error:

SystemError: Could not read from Google Ads
(Internal details: Could not get resource name for customers/{customer_id}/adGroups/{ad_group_id} parent)

Would just like to give a friendly bump on the issue, as setting bids are a very important part of the business.

Is this some kind of a joke?

New Scripts Experience is obviously buggy and half baked, important functions (like setting bids for devices) still don't work and Google decides to deprecate the old one before the new one is fixed?

Now we are supposed to do what? Click away needlessly for hours and pray for some miraculous fix?

Hi,

I am the original poster and my issue has been already confirmed... over two months ago.

Nothing has changed so far – except for the possibility to turn the New Scripts Experience off and therefore my ability to work effectively.
