Hi everyone,

Is there any way to permanently delete AdWords scripts from the interface, or at least delete the coding from the script file after they have been already deleted (/disabled)?

When I attempt to delete them at the moment, it basically disables the script and doesn't let me edit the code any further. I have scripts in my account at the moment that are already deleted so need a way to approach this from both angles.

Thanks for any and all help in advance,
Mike

Hi Michael,

This cannot be done right now, but I'll ask the team to investigate this further.

Any update on being able to permanently remove a script.  I need to remove a script from a client and only use on the mcm level.

Thanks

Hello,

There is still no feature to permanently delete a script. You will be able to remove the script and re-enable it if you want.

To elaborate Anthony's point, one option is to delete the source code (change it to an empty main function), save the script, and then delete the script. This will prevent users from using the source code. If you've already "removed" the script, you can re-enable it, delete the source code, save the script, and then "remove" it again.
