Performance Max and BUDGET_PERFORMANCE_REPORT

Hello,

I'm using BUDGET_PERFORMANCE_REPORT in my Ads Scripts for daily spend monitoring.
I found out that all Performance Max campaigns have zero cost in the report.

Code:
AdWordsApp.report("SELECT BudgetName, Amount, Cost FROM BUDGET_PERFORMANCE_REPORT").rows();

Is this a bug or am I using a wrong report?

Thank you for providing the requested information privately.

I checked your query and it appears that you're using campaign_budget report. The PMax data should be retrievable by pulling the campaign view report from the Google Ads API as discussed in this guide.

Hi Teejay,

thanks for you answer, but this makes things much more complicated for us. We have also campaigns with the shared budgets, so I have to use the campaign_budget report to check, how much of the daily budget is being spent.
Now this means, I'll have to use 2 reports - campaign report for Performance Max campaigns, campaign_budget report for other campaigns.

Are the zero costs for Performance Max campaigns (in the campaign_budget report) the final state, or is this issue still under development?

Hi Milan,

Thank you for getting back to us.

I've reviewed the GAQL reports table, and found out that you should be able to pull the PMAX campaign on campaign_budget report by filtering your query using campaign.advertising_channel_type = PERFORMANCE_MAX. However, there's seems to be an existing issue on the GAQL side which the result will always return 0 values. With that, let me raise this to the team as well for further investigation. I'll update this thread the soonest the team shared their feedback.
