Hi George,
Thanks for reaching out. I am Harry from the Google Ads Scripts Team. Allow me to assist you on this.
Kindly check out the Search Query Performance Report which includes all statistics aggregated at the search terms level, one row per combination of search terms. If other segment fields are used, you may get more than one row per combination of search terms. You may opt to create a custom script depending on your requirement/use case or make use of the available Search Query Report solution script. If you want to create a custom script, please see the Reports guide, reporting best practices and these examples on how you can implement your scripts for your reference.
Let me know if you have questions or other concerns.
Thanks,

Hi Harry,
Thank you for your reply, however, unfortunately this does not help. I can’t see a segment or metric for hour.. or hour of day….
So what metric or segment would I use in the script? Aside from the fact I would not know how to write the script in the first place.. 😊
Kind Regards,
George Katsoudas | PPC Land Partner
Hi George,
Thanks for coming back. I can confirm that a metric for hour or hour of day is available in the Search Query Performance Report. You may choose to create a custom script for this to retrieve search terms data/performance and record it every hour. Please Data freshness of your your Google Ads account data.
Please see this link on how you can get started with Google Ads Scripts. Only entry-level familiarity with JavaScript is needed—the IDE helps with syntax highlighting, auto-complete, and previewing. All you need is a Google Ads account to start writing your first script.
Ok that’s great news Harry, let me check it out !
Thanks for Clarifying!
Regards
George

Hi Sigurd,
Nice idea thank you. Id rather automate it, ill run it past our devs and let them solve it.. Coding not my best skill set for sure.. 😊
At least its possible, when I spoke to AdWords they said it was not possible via the GUI… So at least there is a way..

Hi George,
Please excuse me on this, but to correct my previous statement, an hour or hour of day metric is "not' available in the Search Query Performance Report. You may opt to a create custom script that would record search terms performance on an hourly basis once they become available depending on Data freshness of your Google Ads account data.
If you'll need further assistance, please do let me know and I would be happy to help out in any way possible.
Regards,
Hi Harry,
That’s what I though as well as I could not see that hourly field..
Yes we will be attempting to “opt to a create custom script that would record search terms performance on an hourly basis once they become available depending on Data freshness of your Google Ads account data.”
Many thanks
George
