Hi,

I have a list of keywords that I want to make sure are triggering ads, and being notified if this is not the case.

The manual process would be to go into the Ad Preview tool and enter them one by one to see if I get the green "Yes, your ad is showing for the keyword [xxx]". This would need to be done for each keyword and for each key location.

What is the best way to do this via AdWords Scripts?

Thanks
Sandro

Hi Sandro,

There is no available equivalent feature in AdWords Scripts as the Ad preview tool in AdWords UI. You can use Ad Performance Report instead with CriterionType = KEYWORD and see the CriterionId.

You can refer to these sample scripts to see how to generate a report via AdWords Scripts.

Hi  Joyce,

So I can only check if there are impressions? There is no way to see if a keyword / ad is "delivering" or "showing"?

Thanks
Sandro

Hi Sandro,

Yes, there is no available field that indicates if the ad is showing, but basically, if it has impressions and any other performance stats generated, then that should mean that the ad is delivering/showing.

Thanks,

Hi Sandro,

Just want to make it more clear.

Yes, there is no available field that indicates if the ad is showing same as that of the Ad preview tool, but basically, if it has impressions and any other performance stats generated, then that should mean that the ad is delivering/showing.
