Performance Max Campaign not available

Hi!

I created a script to get the cost of all campaigns. Using CAMPAIGN_PERFORMANCE_REPORT or ACCOUNT_PERFORMANCE_REPORT (in report method) i realized that performance max campaigns are ignored.

Thanks for reaching out. Harry here, from the Google Ads Scripts Team.

I believe the reason why you are not able to retrieve Performance Max Campaign data from either the Campaign Performance Report and Account Performance Report is because Performance Max Campaign Types are currently not supported from AdWords API - Reports or even more so from Reports in the Google Ads API.

Since the AdWords API will sunset on April 27, 2022, can I interest you in a feature request to support Performance Max Campaigns in Google Ads API Reports via scripts instead? However, please be informed that all requests are subject for approval and are not guaranteed to be supported anytime soon in the Google Ads Scripts. Kindly confirm if you would like me to proceed and provide a sample use case to the feature and or business justification.

Thank you for the reply.

Yes, i confirm.

The script recovers the monthly spend of all campaigns (therefore including max performance campaigns). 

These data are automatically entered in a google sheet to create a company budget pacer and to create expenditure projections.

Thanks for getting back on the matter. I have now raised the feature request to the rest of the team for consideration. Just to reiterate, please be informed that there is no guarantee that Performance Max Campaigns will be supported in the Google Ads Scripts anytime soon.
