Get Performance Max Placement Report and add placement exclusions

I'm trying something like this but it returns empty for a specific campaign.id: 

SELECT managed_placement_view.resource_name, metrics.active_view_impressions FROM managed_placement_view

WHERE campaign.id =123456"

How do I get the same report available in the Google Ads reporting UI which shows placements and impressions?

Also now that placement exclusions is rolling out what method to add placement exclusions through a script?

Still waiting for an answer. The following works for display campaigns but returns nothing for Performance Max. 

 var report = AdsApp.report(
      "SELECT campaign.name, campaign.id, metrics.impressions, group_placement_view.display_name, group_placement_view.placement, group_placement_view.placement_type,  group_placement_view.resource_name " +
      "FROM group_placement_view " +

    );

Regarding your other question, could you please clarify if you’re looking to add a new placement exclusion list through Google Ads scripts? If yes, then you may use the AdsApp.​ExcludedPlacementListBuilder.
