Anyway to create.portfolio strategies via script?

I'm looking for a way to create multiple portfolio strategies across different accounts within the MCC. I haven't seen any logic about creating strategies in the API, so not sure if it's possible but I figured I'd give it a shot. To my knowledge is a manual process but just looking for a way to speed up the process. Thank you.

Thanks for reaching out. If you are talking about creating bidding strategies, I would like to inform you that this is not currently supported in the Google Ads Scripts. The only available approach is to create them via the UI, edit existing bidding strategies with the CampaignBidding.setStrategy(biddingStrategy), or by editing them in bulk by using the Bulk Upload feature. See also Bulk Upload Entities - Campaigns.

 

On the other hand, I can reach out to the rest of the team to communicate a feature request with regard to creating bidding strategies across different account within the MCC. Kindly provide a sample use-case if you would like me to proceed.

Hi Harry, as far as an example, our company is currently moving over from Manual CPC to Smart Bidding (Mainly Max Conv & Max Conv Values). We have about 2,000 clients and within each of those accounts, there are at least 5 different groups of budget names. So our end goal would be to have a portfolio strategy for each budget name within each account. Currently, we've had to go into many of the accounts, create the portfolio strategies manually, then use bulk upload/script to apply them to the campaigns that are attached to each budget group. It'd be hugely helpful to be able to create a portfolio strategy via script or even bulk upload since as you stated you can only edit existing bid strategies but not create them.

It's been 2+ years since this last post. As far as I know, it's possible to create portfolio bid strategies via the API but still not scripts. Is it still a feature request?
