Set up sitelinks

Hi everyone,

I wanted to know if it's possible to create a specific order for sitelinks like in Adwords Editor?

For exemple I want to create the sitelinks: 

Software => 1st sitelink

Hardware => 2nd sitelink

Promotions => 3rd sitelink

Now I want to add a sitelink but I want to show it as the second sitelink:

Software => 1st sitelink

Casemodding => 2nd sitelink

Hardware => 3rd sitelink

Promotions => 4th sitelink

Is there a setRank function for Sitelinks or something like it? I couldn't find it in the documentation.

Hi,

On this forum we try to help to people who are using AdWords Scripts.

But to answer your question: the order of sitelinks is determined by the system itself. You can not control when they appear (except that you can control which ad group can show which sitelink) and can not control the order either. The system tries to show the most relevant combination of sitelinks with the best quality and CTR so that users of Google search get the best results.

I'm speaking of setting up sitelinks via Script ;)

However, in Adwords Editor it's possible to determine the rank of a sitelink, the basic lineup of the sitelinks.

I didn't know that the system adapts the order of the sitelinks itself. 

This leads me to a new/other question how does the system classes a new sitelink if it hadn't had the chance to perform? And why is it possible to rank them in Editor (is it useless?) but not in Adwords Script? 

Due to the fact that sitelinks are important to get a higher QS, I'm thinking of optimizing sitelinks via script...

Hi Patrick,

Sorry for the misunderstanding.

There was a ranking setting but with the new enhanced sitelinks I think this is gone.

The previous setting did not tell AdWords the exact order either but you preference.
