Hi,

I currently have a script on my accounts that pause the campaigns once they hit a certain budget. This allows me to never overspend, but when the 1st of the month is on a weekend, my campaigns are paused for multiple days before I can enable them again on the first weekday.

Is there a script or rule that will allow me to enable any campaigns that were previously paused by the script on the first of every month? I cannot make a rule that enables all campaigns because there are some campaigns that are seasonal.

Thanks!

Hi Megan,

A good way to keep track of entities that were paused by a certain script is to label them first. Then, you can insert logic that checks to see if it is the first of the month, and if it is, select and enable all those previously pause-labeled campaigns. Your script can use the following logic:
  • Check to see if it is the first of the month (here is a useful guide for working with dates and times)
  • If a campaign has reached its budget
    • Pause the campaign
    • Apply the pause-label
