Issue with MCC-Level Labels in Google Ads Script

Dear Support Team,

I am writing to report an issue related to Google Ads scripts. The error is specifically affecting a script that operates at the account manager (MCC) level, processing multiple accounts. Each processed account is marked with a label, and once a day, the script removes this label and recreates it to initiate the next iteration across the accounts.

This script has been functioning perfectly for over a year until yesterday (June 27, 2023). However, after removing the label and attempting to create a new one, an error message is displayed, stating, "This label name is already in use." This error message doesn't make sense because the label was previously removed:

Even if we manually delete and add the label, the script fails to mark the processed accounts with the label, without returning any error this time.

I would greatly appreciate it if you could investigate this issue and provide a solution. It is crucial for our workflow to have this script working correctly as it has been a reliable tool for managing multiple accounts efficiently.

We have the same problem.. we have multiple scripts that are labelling our accounts, since 27.06. -00:00 CET none of our accounts are labeled with account.applyLabel() .

The scripts can create and delete a Label but not apply it, no error is reported..

@Thomas - I've tested this on my end and it appears that, through a simple script, the method applyLabel() fails to apply a label to an account; be it newly created or existing in the account. I'll be taking this up to our wider team for further investigation. I was wondering if any progress has been made since last week? After some digging and isolating the problem, I found that our MCC link checker stopped working because of the failing applyLabel method, which is exactly the issue describes in this topic.

It seems that the applyLabel method is working again. Our MCC link checker started to send mails again this morning and upon checking a temporary script that adds a label to a specific account, it seems to work as well.
