Google Scripts and Ad Customizers for Expanded Text Ads

When support for ad customizers for expanded text ads ends on June 30th, how will scripts that edit data feeds for ad customizers fail? Will there be an error that terminates the script, or will the rest of the script continue running?

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Ads Scripts.
 

Please note that the new scripts utilized the Google Ads API. As per this documentation guide and this blog post. you'll no longer be able to create or edit expanded text ads. Starting June 30, 2022. That said, Expanded text ads will continue to serve, and you'll still see reports on their performance going forward.
 

With regard to this question "Will there be an error that terminates the script, or will the rest of the script continue running?" the expected behavior will be a script that will throw an error. However, if you encounter any problem when the specified date approaches, you can get in touch with us again.
