Hi,

For campaigns running on the bid strategy Maximize Conversion Value (incl TargetRoas), I am able to call campaign.bidding().setTargetRoas(). I am also running standard shopping campaigns that run on regular TargetRoas (seems I cant set max conv value on standard shopping campaigns).

Is there a possibility to set the target roas for a campaign running on standard target roas bidding strategy. I want to set it on campaign level, not on portfolio level.

Anyone have an idea how I could do this? I'm trying to change the target roas for a standard shopping campaign running on regular target roas bid strategy. Would also be fine to change the target roas of a bidding portfolio..

Hi Rik,

I've tried to recreate your problem but I'm running (I guess?) into a problem. See image attached:

• Shopping (Generic)' employs a TARGET_ROAS bidding strategy. This type of bidding strategy does not support target roas.

Which sounds a bit contradictory. Maybe this is a bug in Google Ads scripts?

Another method to try and set the tROAS is via .setStrategy(), but unfortunately, that didn't work either. See https://developers.google.com/google-ads/scripts/docs/examples/bidding#set-campaign-bidding-strategy for more info.

Hopefully the Google Ads scripts Team can help you out?!

Tnx for trying! I had the same issues. It seems like setTargetRoas method is only applicable for maximize conversion value strategy. Very confusing error message indeed.. 

So far, no luck via setTargetRoas method, no luck via setStrategy method and no luck via a bidding portfolio..
