Hello All,

We would like to know about automated rules.

  • If we want to pause certain 'search query' (NOT KEYWORD - please note) via AdWords automated rules based on the performance metrics like 20 clicks and greater than equal to 60% bounce rate. How can we do that?
  • What are the various automation rules which is beneficial in general case

Looking forward to hear some good replies.

Thanks!

Hi there,

There are currently no automated rules based off of the search query report. You could write a script that downloads the search query report and adds search terms as negative keywords.

There's no concept in AdWords of "pausing a search query". You can either add a search term as a keyword or as a negative keyword. Adding a search term as a negative keyword will prevent that search term from triggering your ads.

You can read up on automated rules here to see everything that's currently possible.

Cheers,
Alex

Oh,

Also, we have this solution which does something like this here:

It downloads the search query report and adds search terms as negative exact keywords.

Cheers,
Alex
