Getting a pretty weird error/bug and I'm not sure what to make of it. On both my MMC and Account level "Link Checker" Scripts (Version 1.2) I get an error when there is UTM in the URL.

In the Adwords Account the URL looks like this:
?keyword={keyword}&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Stock_Campaign&utm_content=Stock_Adgroup&utm_term={keyword}

In the spreadsheet that controls the script it looks like this:
?keyword=%7Bkeyword%7D&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Stock_Campaign&utm_content=Stock_Adgroup&utm_term=%7Bkeyword%7D

Note that "{" and "}" are being changed to there Hex ASCII equivalents "%7B" and "%7D"

Can't figure out for the life of me why this is happening or what can be done to fix it. Since that breaks the URL, it either returns 404 or 503 and sends me an email that the URL is broke.

Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

Justin

Hi Justin,

This looks like it may be an issue with how the script is encoding the brackets.  Would you mind sending your CID (reply privately to the author), the name of the script, and access to your spreadsheet so that we can run some tests and investigate further?

Thanks,
