Smart Shopping Bulk Ad Group Creation Script Problem

Hi there,

I've been using the bulk Google Shopping Ad Group creator for a while now.

I am trying to use it to build Aad groups within a Smart Shopping Campaign now.

I'm using the code on this page:

However, it keeps erroring. Line 275 seems to be the problem.

I was wondering if anyone could help please.

I would like to inform you that only regular Shopping Campaigns are currently supported through scripts which would explain why line 275 would throw an error, but a request to support this entity has been filed for some time so let me make a follow up on your behalf. Please be informed that all requests are not guaranteed to be supported anytime soon. With that said, kindly follow our blog for updates and new releases in the meantime.

 

On the other hand, you may utilize the Bulk Upload feature for creating or adding Ad Groups in your account, then just have them added to your Smart Shopping Campaigns through the UI. Let me know if you have questions.

Hi Harry,

Thank you for the recommendation.

We have separated out the ad groups but we cannot add these to the Smart Shopping campaign. 

Is there something we are missing as it appears to lock out the addition of ad groups to the Smart Shopping campaign?

Hi Paul,

I work along with Harry. Allow me to assist you in this.

I've tried to bulk upload ad group, select the Smart shopping campaign entity, and I'm getting an error "This operation does not support by this campaign" which my colleague also mentioned that Smart Shopping campaigns is currently not supported through script. For the meantime, we suggest to use a regular shopping and ad group.
