How to get a campaign limited by budget via Google Ads API?

Hi all,

I want to pull all the campaigns that their status is "Limited by Budget" through the API.

I've found a few campaigns that their status is marked as "limited by budget" in the UI, but when I've tried to get their serving status via the API - 

It looks like their serving status is "Eligible". 

Do you have any idea what could go wrong? 

Is there any other attribute that I need to pull from Adwords in order to get the "right" status for these campaigns?

Hi Hadar,

I'm afraid the status "Limited by Budget" is currently not supported in the AdWords API and is only available in Google Ads UI. The status of campaigns available in API are ENABLED, PAUSED and REMOVED which you could see on this guide.

I understand that you are looking for guidance on retrieving the "Limited by Budget" status from a campaign within the Google Ads API. Kindly note that retrieving the "Limited by Budget" status from a campaign is not yet supported in the Google Ads API. I will raise a request to add this feature to be available in the Google Ads API. We cannot provide a scheduled timeline for the availability of this feature in the Google Ads API. I would recommend you to follow our Release Notes and Blog Post for future updates.

Not sure if it's entire the same, but are you able to use the Campaign Primary Status reason instead?
- it has 'BUDGET_CONSTRAINED'

Kindly note that BUDGET_CONSTRAINED describes primary status reasons for the campaign. Provides insight into why a campaign is not serving or not serving optimally. These reasons are aggregated to determine an overall CampaignPrimaryStatus. Your bid strategy status shows you issues with your bid strategies that might be affecting your campaign performance. I would recommend you to check this help center article about Bid strategy statuses for more information.
