In the AdWords API perspective, we offer different bidding strategies to users in order for them to maximize the number of impressions or conversions their campaigns and ads would generate. You may find our
bidding guide helpful in choosing which strategy to implement that would best suit your requirement.
As for keyword ideas and performance estimates, you may be able to retrieve this information via the
TargetingIdeaService and the
TrafficEstimatorService. Both services should be able to provide you with information as to which keywords you can add to your existing ones and how they can possibly perform given a number of different parameters. To learn more about the two, you may refer to the
targeting ideas and the
estimating traffic guides.
Please note however that the information you retrieve from these services does not necessarily indicate performances against specific competitors, but rather, a projection on how your account would perform depending on how you have defined your setup.
