How to fetch Unique Users from the Reporting API?

Hi, 

It is stated on this page that cookie-based Reach metrics are deprecated as of July 31st 2019, and that the "Unique Users" metric should be used instead from here on: https://support.google.com/google-ads/answer/2472714?hl=en

So far we have been fetching cooke-based reach data from the `ImpressionReach` attribute of the Campaign Performance Report (here). The same report does not seem to provide any metric resembling "Unique Users", nor does any other report as per the current API documentation.

Is it possible at all to fetch this information from the Google Ads API?

Unfortunately, the 'unique users' metric is not available via Adwords API/ Google Ads API. Our team is already aware of this feature request, please keep an eye on our blog post for future updates and announcements. Let me know if you have any additional concerns.

It's been over 2 years since Andrea has asked about getting Unique Users. Is there a way to get unique users for Google Ads API?

General Kenobi,

Just want to let everyone affected know that the V16 Ads API appears to be returning this metric correctly as of today. I managed to query it for a given campaign and the API returned the same number that I can see on the UI. I was using the official dotnet library for this.

A few caveats:
- The query must be executed with the customer id of the account that is the direct owner of the campaign. Any managers or root MCC above will not work and will result in an exception.
- A segment date filtering must be applied. If none is specified, a null result will be returned without an error. As per documentation, the metric supports being queried for up to 92 days. I only tried the last 30 days.
