From the documentation we get
Encodes :, /, and ?, and = of landing page URL, ends with search query
{escapedlpurl}
Encodes ?, =, ", #, \t, ', and [space] of landing page URL, ends with search query
{lpurl}
I observe that lpurl
DOES NOT
encode the http:// part but unescaped url does.
i.e. here is the escapedlpurl url
http://tracking-in.thirdparty/click?client_id=57&tag=g-pl89z4b4x0161g_57&svt=1|||g||0|none|&redirect_url=http%3A%2F%2Fm.snapdeal.com%2Fproducts%2Fjewelry-accessories%23plrty%7CDesign_s%3AAnklets%20%26%20Toe-rings%5E%20Toe-rings%7C%26utm_source%3Dearth__jewellery%26Utm_content%3D6%26utm_campaign%3Dc_AnkletJewellerySubcat1
here is the lpurl url
http://tracking-in.
thirdparty.com
.com/click?client_id=57&tag=g-pl89z4b4x0161g_57&svt=1|||g||0|none|&redirect_url=
http://m.snapdeal.com/products/jewelry-accessories%23plrty%7CDesign_s:Anklets%2520%26%2520Toe-rings%5E%2520Toe-rings%7C%26utm_source%3Dearth__jewellery%26Utm_content%3D6%26utm_campaign%3Dc_AnkletJewellerySubcat1
Which one should I be using and why?

Hello,
Please use
{lpurl}
instead of
{escapedlpurl}
. The reason for using
{lpurl}
over
{escapedlpurl}
is explained in
this forum discussion
.
Thanks,
Umesh, AdWords API Team.
